A vacant position created as the result of continued annual growth within Power Control Ltd, an independently owned company, incorporated in 1994 and recognised market leader in solid state and modular Uninterruptible Power Supplies.

The main purpose of the role is to support the sales team in a variety of administrative and commercial duties allowing the sales team to focus on developing new clients and revenue growth. The role is to also maintain the company’s CRM system and ensure that it is up to date and accurate.

The candidate should have had experience in sales administration and be prepared for working in a dynamic SME sales environment. The candidate should be capable of multi-tasking and prioritising workload on a variety of levels while working closely with both the sales team and the Sales Director.

The candidate should have experience of working with CRM systems.

As the administrator will be trusted with confidential commercial information, it is essential the candidate is completely trustworthy and discrete.

The company is planning strategic growth and is looking to aggressively grow in sales turnover over the next 5 years. There will be scope for the candidate to grow and develop within the company with internal promotion being a real possibility.

The candidate should be able to understand the business aims and objectives to successfully work in this environment.


Responsible to: Sales Director


  • Respond to inbound enquiries from clients in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support the sales team with day to day enquiries.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with customers
  • Maintain accurate records using CRM software.
  • Preparing project, PQQ and tender proposals and submittals.
  • Create pricing matrices.
  • Creating sales performance reports.
  • Be point of contact within the office for other client accounts.
  • Identify and contact potential clients to proactively market the Power Control brand.

Detailed Functions

  • Make regular client contact by telephone and email to follow up sales opportunities.
  • Provide support to clients and deal with any enquiries regarding deliveries, pricing, complaints or product support.
  • Source pricing from Power Control supply chain where required.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and other members of the sales team on behalf of the Sales Director.
  • Assist the sales estimating team with creating proposals or requesting additional information.
  • Support the field sales team members with arranging meetings or contacting clients.
  • Drafting and checking communications on the sales team member’s behalf.
  • Preparing sales presentations and detailed proposals.
  • Assisting in the preparation of sales reports.


  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience in working as a Sales Administrator.
  • Strong commercial awareness and customer service skills.
  • Excellent word processing and IT skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to juggle a range of different tasks and to work extra hours to meet deadlines.


37.5 hours per week between 8:30 am till 5:00 pm

Additional notes: The company is a forward thinking organisation working within the Standby Power market. Having over 25 years’ experience since first trading in July 1994 and with annual growth, year on year since 2009, the company is looking to for a business development executive. Full product training will be provided.
