Diesel fuel filtering and cleaning
Diesel fuel stored in bulk tanks for long periods of time will inevitably deteriorate and become contaminated by water, solids and bacterial growth.
Contaminated fuel reduces the output power of diesel engines and generators and in some cases will cause system failures which mean extensive and costly repairs to the fuel systems.
'Polishing' removes all traces of contamination and re-optimises the fuel, returning it to its optimum condition. 'Polishing' removes:
Fuel 'Polishing' is a secondary procedure that is carried out without interruption to the operation or installation of the Generator. Any type and size of fuel tank can be 'Polished'.
After 'Polishing', the diesel is dosed with a chemical biocide to retard the future growth of bacterial contamination.
