Providing resilient power backup for leading German supermarket chain
One of the world’s fastest growing supermarket chains has ordered another two Borri Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems for its site in Surrey.
The supermarket has purchased the latest UPS units to support the Leatherhead store’s data centre. The order was secured through Buckingham based, independent reseller NSSE Ltd, which has been a Power Control premier partner for over a decade.
NSSE Ltd was able to build on its long-standing relationship with the supermarket giant to secure the latest of a string of Borri UPS orders. They have been so impressed with the performance of the Borri units that it had no hesitation in re-ordering from Power Control again.
With aggressive expansion plans for this German supermarket, it is likely that the chain will continue to invest in Borri UPS solutions for its other sites around the UK and potentially Europe.
The solution and results
Power Control decided that in order to maximise efficiency and reliability, the supermarket chain was best utilising two Borri B9000FXS 100kVA UPS units, which are now playing a critical role in providing power protection for all of the site’s electrical components.
