Evolution at its Finest … the Borri Ingenio Plus Rebrand

The Borri Ingenio Plus range of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems has undergone an exciting rebrand as part of Legrand UK & Ireland and the Borri group’s joint venture agreement.

As part of the rebrand, the collection has a new identity, changing its name to the Legrand Keor HP/HPE - a three-phase online double conversion range of UPS capable of supplying reliable uninterrupted quality power for a variety of critical applications; including network communications, small to medium data centres, health, finance, industrial processing, building and transportation environments.

Efficient and compact, the Legrand Keor HP benefits from high-frequency pulse width modulation (PWM), a signal that reduces the motor’s power losses to improve the overall efficiency of each unit. It delivers a rated power of 60 to 800kVA and can be connected in parallel to achieve N+X redundancy up to a total of 6 units, allowing delivery of total power up to 4.8 MVA.

In addition, the Legrand Keor HP benefits from a number of supplementary features including:

  • IGBT-Based Rectifier and Inverter – this technology significantly reduces harmonic distortion on the input line making it highly compatible with any system upstream of the UPS

  • Digital Signal Processor (DSP)

  • High Input Power Factor (PFC)

  • High Output Power Factor

  • Batteries Recharging Compensation with Temperature

  • Inverter Isolation Transformer

  • Low Input and Output Total Harmonic Distortion (THD)

  • Genset Operation Compliant

  • On-Site Modular Paralleling Capability up to 6 units

  • Central Bypass for Parallel System (Available as an Option)

  • Availability of Different Communication Types

  • Output power factor 0,9

An optimised cooling system allows users to position the Keor HP against a wall, or side-to-side with other equipment, without affecting its performance.

The innovative technology of the Keor HP results in a lower environmental impact when compared with other models. The reduction in power and cooling consumption reducing CO2 emissions by 30%, in turn minimising the system’s overall carbon footprint whilst also keeping operating costs to a minimum.

Efficiency is at the heart of Legrand’s research and development ethos. Teams are continually working on the creation of increasingly efficient UPS systems that are capable of providing high and incremental performance with minimal energy dissipation.

The company’s efficiency offering doesn’t stop there however, with careful thought and consideration being given to system design. Frontal access and easy to reach components ensure trouble-free installation whilst also allowing for simple maintenance and repairs to keep servicing times at a minimum.

Legrand’s overall vision for their brand has seen the company introduce a number of changes to align with the present and future needs of their customers. Their aim is to provide easier access to the group’s end-to-end electrical solutions. As such, Legrand’s product portfolio and associated support services have been split into four distinct business units and areas of speciality; cable management, critical power, working and living spaces and digital infrastructure.

Collectively, the units ensure that the company’s power offering incorporates all distribution and control requirements for any type of application, whilst also ensuring that electrical professionals are able to receive the bespoke solutions required for any style of project.

With over thirty years of experience supplying power protection strategies, Power Control has secured an enviable collection of UPS equipment from the world’s leading manufacturers. With its compact design, scalability and incredibly high levels of efficiency, the Legrand Keor HP sits comfortably within the company’s current product portfolio. Suited to a range of environments, this quality backup power offering really is UPS evolution at its finest.
