The prominent UPS solutions provider, Power Control Ltd, has been announced as a finalist for one of the prestigious DCS Awards.

Now in its ninth year, the DCS Awards recognises the achievements of all the main areas that make up Europe’s dynamic data centre market. This includes product designers, manufacturers, suppliers and providers operating in the data centre sphere and honours those across both facilities and information technology award categories.

The awards are categorised within five groups, Project Awards, Facilities Innovation Awards, ICT Innovation Awards, Company Awards and Individual awards. As a leading UPS project provider, Power Control entered into, and has been nominated for the New Design/Build Data Centre Project of the Year Award with its recent supply and install project for leading design and build operator coolDC.

coolDC required an increased uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and battery capacity with minimal disruption and zero downtime. Power Control was able to provide a system design that enabled coolDC to scale up as its load requirements increased and thus increase the efficiency.
